most newer front wheel drive cars require the Engine and tranaxle removal as a whole one unit then separated on the bench. it's quite a bit of work. but then again specifically for your car I can't say, maybe search for a KIA forums

What kind of Kia? I have a lady friend who wants to get one and I've tried to talk her out of it but seems like I'm talking to a brick wall. She just THINKS I only like American cars yet I'm trying to talk her into buying a Honda <shaking my head> no logic. So then she asks me about Hyundai<ugh> told her it was an upgraded Kia.
