That is kind of hard to believe from a stock Ram. I can believe a 14.9 but a 14.7 from a truck that does 0-60 in 6.8seconds. As anyone here with a stock ram broken the 14's in it.

Thanks for the replies, his truck is an automatic and he has never raced it at the drag strip, that I know of anyway. I wanted to ask you guys cause ya'll own and drive these trucks. BTW, the Dodge's are my favorite! I've been racing my car for quite a while, mostly road racing and autocross though but I know how to launch and shift my car without losing too much traction. I wish I could tell ya'll more of what he has done to his truck but I only know what he told me, he could be bluffing and have nitrous or a power adder but I doubt it. As far as his driving, Phillip can't drive for nothing. He's totalled three cars allready and had one accident in his truck. I've raced him several times, once from a dig and a few from a roll and it's been ugly every time. Of course your talking about a muscle car and a truck racing so that outcome is expected.

My first and only 1/4 mile pass:

rt .011
60 1..931
330 5.374
1/8 8.202
mph 87.42
1000 10.624
1/4 12.695
mph 108.95

If I could get her to hook then my mph would be higher but still not bad. We are racing tonight so we'll see what happens

Ive seen and have read of quite a few stock trucks running low 14s I want to take my truck down to firebird and see what she can do after I finish my mods.

But as far as him never racing at the track or having a lack in experience there is no question that he stands a 90% chance at loosing big time to you. I'll give him a 10% chance at beating you simply cause I dont know what he has or how he drives or how you drive for that matter what he actually has under his hood.

I agree with you because I have no clue what he has either but we'll find out tonight. How good are these new Hemi engines doing as far as reliability and power? I'm waiting for the new Hemi challenger to come out because it will be sitting in my garage!
I haev been drooling over that car ever since it first come out as a concept. Dodge makes some great vehicles, especially for the money. Aren't the SRT-10 trucks in the mid to low 12's stock in the 1/4? I've seen several of them running around town but haven't had the oppurtunity to race one yet. I'll race anything just for the hell of it, got to have fun!

I love my hemi its very reliable and in a reg cab 2 wheel drive 1500 it packs a punch its quick but not as quick as I would like it to be but Im working on that. As for the SRT10's 1/4 mile I believe they are in the low 12's but I may be wrong on that, they are fast as hell though I tried one the other nite just for the hell of it knowing I would lose, I just had to see what it could do for my self.....

The srt-10 trucks are good for low 13's. And can reach the mid 12's with just exhaust, headers, and new intake. But with good tires a stock srt-10 might be able to pull off a 13flat.

Nope but they are as easy to get into the 12's with as it is with a SVT Lightning. The SRT-10's aren't light the RC weighs 5000pounds and have to move 22inch rim's.
