This is the first fiberglass enclosure that I have built. Just to let you know that the DIYers out there can do it. With alot of time, patience and about $100.

THATS FREAKING SICK! I like it! .... Please list a few details like materials used and how much of them... you know a step by step... It looks simple enough.... DAM thats a nice enclosure... How think do you need to lay the glass to get a good solid enclosure? did you port it or not.... ??? I just may build me one of those... My main problem is that I still want to keep my fold down floor....

That looks nice. I might try something like that but only to the large side. I keep my duty belt in the small side. Any idea what that thing weighs? Looks like it's heavy.

 

Is there any way to keep the folding floor with that?

you could, but it would rattle really bad. we tried it on a couple here at our shop, and eventually the hinges actually loosen up

 

You want the box to be about 5 layers thick to prevent flex. It sounds so awsome. This is the 4th box I have had with the same tens. This one is by far the best sounding and best looking.

MATERALS USED

Fiberglass Matt (Qty 3)
1 1/2 Gal Fiberglass Resin with hardner
Containers to mix (about 10)
Latex gloves
Cheap paint brushes, horse hair style (Qty 10)
Sheet of 3/4 in MDF, 8x4
Free stir sticks
Screws
All Porpose Liquid Nails
Two rolls Blue Painters Tape, Med width
Aluminum Foil
Biz Queen for the floor so no mess
