Default New truck

Hey guys, well it looks like I'm finally getting my very own hemi, which I have been wanting for a very long time now, haha. Anyway, I am going to look at a 2003 1500QC 4x4 hemi. My question is this, is there anything specific I should be looking for on this truck as far as things wrong with it? It has 47k miles on it. Thanks for the help.

Or take someone you know who really knows the in and outs of trucks. 47,000miles is descent amount of miles on a 03 my 03 only has 35,300 miles on it.

47k= 16k a year. The standard is 12k a year, so its not off by much.
I put 70k on my 04 in 2 years

ive always heard that it was 15k a year average...either way its not off by much. my dads 03 just rolled over 40k i think. for a truck thats almost 4 years old (07s are out soon) thats not bad. the only problems hes had have been minor and are all fixed. for a while the brake warning light would come on and he noticed that it was always after he hit a bump. turned out to be a sensor that worked itself loose and was easily fixed. another time he had a problemwith the left turn signal...dont remember what the deal was with that one but its fixed too. the best thing you can do is find out if it has the 7/70 warranty and if it does then pay the money to transfer it. when we bought my truck from the dealer (used) it cost 150 extra to transfer the extended warranty. 3/36 warranty is no extra charge but on this truck it is already up so if it has a 7/70 find out how much it will be to transfer it and do it. youre already gonna be droppin some major cash for a vehicle might as well make sure that it will be protected so that if something does go wrong you dont end up paying for it. good luck with the truck post us some pics when/if you get it.

No doubt. If it's got the warranty, don't be cheap and spend the extra money to have it transferred. You won't regret it later on down the road when something breaks. And something WILL break...

It differs from dealer to dealer. 12k a year makes 36k in 3 years...hence the 3/36 on the bumper to bumper warranty. So i always look at it as 12k a year

Thanks for the reply's guys, yeah I somewhat know trucks, I just know how some certain brands or whatever have certain little quirks that go wrong with them and I wanted to make sure I don't overlook anything. Yeah I am definitely going to find out about the warranty, that is a big deal to me. The truck has a little more mileage than I originally wanted but the price is right.
