I have thought about doing that.. but I don't understand totally how they work....
Where is the button located to?
What if you lose power? - now you cant get in, or even pop the hood.

its really cool, how it works is you take handle out weld a metal plate where the hole is bondo and primer so its is matching with the car, paint it and then you have to install poppers on the door jam this is so when you hit the button the doors will pop open so far (depending on the strength of the poppers you get) really the popper is just a big spring that is wired to a brain and you activate using a remote, now if you lose power or something you put somewhere on the truck an button that is wired to the popper that when pushed will manually pop the door open.. hope this helps
i cant wait to do it to mine when i get the money and time

Umm...that's not exactly how it works. The popper is a spring that you place in the door jamb. The only purpose is to push the door out a bit since you obviously can't just grab the outside handle and pull. The part that actually releases the door is called an actuator. I'd go with a 50lb actuator as these doors are fairly heavy. The actuator does the same thing as pulling on the door handle. You keep the inside door handle. I'd say the best way to make sure a dead battery doesn't strand you is to install remote battery posts. Basically, you run some heavy gauge (4awg) wire to a remote, easily accessible location (such as the bed). Attach those to a pair of remote battery terminals. This way, if your battery dies, someone can hook jumper cables to these and you should get enough power to pop your doors. Then you can pop the hood and jump the battery the right way. If you buy the cheap actuators or the 15lb or 30lb versions, be prepared to have some problems when it gets cold.
This is just my opinion. Feel free to do it the cheap way and take your chances. BTW, Autoloc has some of the best deals on door actuators. Buy the best kit they make. It'll cost a bit more but will be well worth it in the end.
