Default Sirius radio - no sound volume problems

Before activating I was told the prevue channel has to work. Mine does not and when I try and adjust the volume it stays at 0. After about 30 minutes of playing with it I can get it to work but as soon as i dail it back down to 0 it stays there. Even when the volume is on there is no sound at all.

The dealer did not prep my vehicle, all miles so far have been to the dealer for repairs and fixes. When I took delivery at night I notice it was missing a HEADLIGHT!

Dealer informs me that since they got it from another dealership its not their problem, the dealer they got it from says its not their problem and Dodge told me if the dealer cant help I am out of luck.

So my local Chevy dealership will be fixing the paint chips and other issues that are not under warranty. Says volumes for Dodge. Of course I will have to pay for it.

Any ideas about the radio? I guess another 50 miles there and back to have the dealership look at it.

They treat me like crap for even bringing it back.

So far Dodge does not impress me.

The dealer is resposible that you bought it from. Any safty issue such as missing headlight is dealer responsibilty. On your radio it sounds like a bad radio. The dealer is not responsible for the radio.

The dealer that sold u the vehicle is responsible for that vehicle! When they got it from another dealership, the vin was transfered to them.
You dealer is responsible (under warranty) for anything that goes wrong with that vehicle (except general wear and tear items) and cannot refuse to fix your problems!
I'd say try again, and if the service department doesn't take care of you, talk to the manager, then the general manager. If that doesn't work, Call DC direct!

Will see what they do tomorrow. I teach classes on search engine placement and they know that. I just want whats fair but if htis dealer does not see it that way I will make sure everyone that does a seach for them knows what happened. I imagine it will do wonders for their internet sales.

When you get your Customer Survey from Chrysler in the mail, let them know what the dealer has done for you... [:@]

I think what the dealer meant was they were not responsible for the general inspection of the vehicle since the previous dealer already did it. But it sounds like the first dealer didn't do it. We ran into issues like that in the past - vehicle we dealer traded for were never inspected - so we inspect all our dealer trades just like if they were dropped off the transport. Nothing more embarrassing than a customer comming back the next day saying "the horn doesn't work" or "decals missing".

There is no reason for the dealer to not warranty the radio - that is what they are in business for - they get paid to do that - I am sure if you just go talk to the service dept they will take care of it under warranty - if not - I wouldn't plan on ever going back to them.

Now, as far as your problem...
We had an 06 MegaCab do the same thing... if I pulled the IOD fuse - it would fix it - for a while.
We ended up putting a new radio in.

Update:

Just as I was getting ready to go nuts they seem to be working with us now.

The truck is in the shop for paint and the radio.

The GM is buying me the mud flaps, wheeel wells and bug deflector and a tank of gas. So thats like 400 bucks or so just for all the headaches and we also got cards for everyone involved told to call if they have any problems.

I think the GM kicked some butt after hearing the story.

They are also doing a total PDI Dealer Check as if it was a new vehicle (they never performed this before).

SO all may be well.

We will see, cant wait to have the truck all fixed.

Glad to hear that, Cuda.
I think you'll find that the majority of the dealers out there will do all they can to make things right.

Well they said they took the "least defective" tires from two different vehicles and placed them on mine. It got rid of about 80% of the problem but the vehicle still shakes driving on a level surface. I dont see why its my problem they have bad tires from not moving vehicles but I guess it is. They are all out of round and have so many weights it looks horrible.

I have decided to take it to someone else, buy all new tires and have them balance and rotate them. At least I can enjoy my new truck at that point. Will run me another 1,000 I cant really afford though.

They will have the option of paying for it on the new website I will create. I should have no problem telling the entire story and having my link top theirs on all major search engines. Once they lose a few hundred thousand in sales I have a feeling they will make it right. I will also contact consumer affairs for my state, the BBB and consider small claims action since my contract says nothing about buying defective tires.

DC was worthless. They stated they have nothing to do with customer satisfaction. They sell the vehicle to the dealer and if I have a problem that the dealer will not fix I am out of luck.

A die hard Dodge family just switched over. Two new Camrys thus far!

In the end I hope Dodge starts to tank like GM and Ford.

For the way they treat customers, they deserve it.
