Default Back Up Camera

Anyone using a Back up camera on their Truck? I just passed by a shop that's installing them on cars and wonder if they are any good on our trucks. I wonder where the screen would go.

I wish I'd had one last week when I backed into a steel sidewalk hand rail I could not see over the top or with the side mirrors.

Not much of a dent, but it is the first scratch on my 06.

Lesson learned; don't back the rear over the top of the curb line.

Guys that installed my Viper alarm system also had these. Two options for display was on the back of the visor or below the trip computer. Looked pretty cool. They said they could order one that replaced the third brake light assembly.

I have a backup camera attached to my rear bumper on my 06 Ram Sport QC 2500. It's attached to my aftermarket stereo screen. It works great, It comes on automatically when I shift into reverse. They also put a switch on it in case I want it on to see what's behind me. Its worth getting and has saved me a few times from hitting small poles in parking lots. It's also a wide screen camera so I see more than the mirrors show.

A backup camera that could feed a signal to the nav display would be cool huh?

I got it done in one shot. Stereo, DVD, Navi, TV tuner and backup camera all fed into the same screen. Works great.
