Color coding
Just got my car back from the body shop, as some of you may have readm i was in a nasty reck.
Any ways while the car was in the shop i asked for the mirrors to be color coded, well i go to pic the truck up the other day only to be told they could not code them because the plastic is greasy. Personally i think its crap.
I called around only to be told the same thing, You think this is true or do i just live in a area with chump chnage bodyshops that cant do a decent job on somthing rather simple?

Poly's and plastics are indeed a little greasy at most, being a biproduct of petrolium, and CAN be more difficult to paint, however, there's no reason that they shouldn't be able to paint them. There are even paints made specifially for painting plasitcs. I've seen several around here that have been color matched and I know my dad (owns a body shop) often does small jobs like matching mirrors, grilles, trim, ect. Sounds like no one wants to try where you're at.
