MANY vehicles come from the factory with synthetic so that should pretty much put all these other "myths" to rest but probably won't. I even had a mechanic tell me that whatever I do to carry extra synthetic oil with me cause if I ever had to add oil and didnt have synthetic but added conventional oil it would gum up and freeze up my engine voiding my warranty.

The earth isn't flat.

The sun doesn't revolve around the earth.

Most things you "hear" about synthetics aren't true.
