Default factory remote start question

I have the remote strat on my truck but I think the "intensity" of the start monitor needs to be turned up. Anyone else have this problem? Most of the time it doesn't even work when i'm standing within 20 feet of the truck. WTF??? My batteries in the keychain are fine(new), Just thinking it needs to be "turned up". Thanks.

Sometimes you can get a few more yards of range by placing the remote to the bottom of your chin. Sounds funny, but it works.

That is kind of funny cause thats exactly what the installers of my viper alarm told me after they installed it. But hey it does work.

I hope this is a joke. What good (or sence) does it do to "put it under my chin?"

It doesn't hurt to try it. In some cases this puts the signal sent in more of a "straight line" to the receiver. It's just like pointing a remote at a TV...there are some angles that it just won't receive the signal.

It makes your body act like an antenna, thus extending the range of the transmitter.
