Shocks
I would like to know what would be the best shocks for my truck and if anyone here has had experience with them. I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L 2WD with 105,000 miles and still strong. I want to know what I will gain or what I would lose by switching to them. I mostly never go off road but the roads that I travel are extremely bumpy. Thanks for your help in advance.
welcome to DF...
I have had the Rancho RS5000's and RS9000's and they are ok shocks, however the Edelbrock IAS performers are my favorite at the moment... they have an inertia valve that opens to soften the ride when the road gets rough. when it's smooth, the valve is closed so the shock is firmer.
I have them on my wifes dakota and on my '05 CTD ram. they perform really well on both.

Almost anything is better than stock. My vote for best value is the Bilstien shock. You will be amazed at how much better your truck will handle. It's all about control. If you are still on the original shocks, you will be in for a pleasant surprise.
