When the shell breaks upon impact, it usually cuts into the paint. So take a close look. If the egg has dried onto the paint, take your time and don't get too agressive. Soap and water, soap and water, soap and water. Had a car egged 30 years ago and it bleached the color out. That was before clear coat finishes and other improvements in paint technology.

okay, wash the truck water......VERY VERY gently. Use the hose but with NO pressure. Just let the water flow over it to remove the eggs from the paint. After that, look around at the paint and make sure there are no major scratches. As far as what to do after that......I have no idea but that should take it off. The main point is to handle it with care. Be careful and do act like a bull in a china shop then everything will be fine. Oh, and Turtle Wax Zip Wax car wash soap is the best product I have seen so far for putting a nice shine on a daily driver. It already has the wax in the soap so you dont have to wax it. I mean, not all of us have time to detail the trucks every weekend so for me, this is a great product. Try it out, even if your truck wasnt egged.

this happened to me a few weeks ago. when you wash the truck spray it with just water coming out of the hose with no pressure and see if any eggshell pieces come off like that. problly not but if that doesnt work then i used my thumbnail to pull the stuck on pieces loose. i did this several times with no damage to my paint. after you break a few pieces loose spray them again and make sure to get them off the truck not just spray them onto another area of the truck. and be very careful when your using the sponge to wash it that you dont run over any egg pieces with it because if you do and one comes up and gets caught under the sponge while your washing it you could make a scratch all over the area you run the sponge over. the eggs got baked on my truck in the 100+ degree texas heat so i still need to give it a really good thorough washing and wax it but havent had time. ive been waking up taking a shower going to school leaving school taking a shower going to work coming home at like 10:30 taking another shower and going to bed so im still looking for time to do it in.
