New Exhaust Done...Next on the list...
Mine actually sounds very similar to that...maybe just a bit deeper. I love the side exit man. Looks good...do you by chance have under body pics? I'd like to see how the piping is routed just in case I decide to change mine after a while.
mrbaffled & chefred112,
thanks to you both for the quick info. the hemi definitely sounds sweet and the side exhaust route adds a nice touch. kinda makes you want to drive in the left lane, huh, so that you can "share" your sound with others! my other vehicle has a side exit on the drivers side and i love blipping the throttle before leaving the line. even though it is probably the slowest vehicle on the road the exhaust still sounds great to me. ok, that last part sounded rice-y, didnt mean it that way.
i dont mind a little drone, in fact i expect it to a certain degree when you modify an exhaust system on anything. i just didnt want to get into another situation where the resonance is actually bothersome. the camaro situation i spoke of was a problem because the small cab and somewhat crappy exhaust created a definite resonance wither kinda pissed me off. i worry about this in the truck since its a regular cab and thus a fairly small interior that might be susceptible to the same problem.
thanks for the pics and vid chefred112, nice look, nice sound! now i look forward to mrbaffleds pics and any more chefred112 posts...

Well here is a small clip...it sounds decent imo. I like the way it looks...I have not seen one in town with the exhaust that way.
Let me know what yall think.

damn mrbaffled, i like that one too. i guess i need to get off me **** and do something about mine. as you know, its pathetically tame from the factory but i guess they kinda have to do that. just to reiterate, that is a 4.7L with the flowmaster 50's, right?
and also, just out of curiosity, did you leave the silencer thingy inline between the cat and the muffler or was that removed during the install?

cableguy1224,
The only other thing I have is a intake system with a k&n...however, it is most likely not doing anything since the piping is too short and its drawing in hot air. I will take care of that this weekend.
protoman333,
I wasnt even aware that there was silencer before the muffler so, No, its still there. Kinda glad it since may have been a little too loud with it out. I need to get an in-cab sound vid. It sounds much better then what you have seen.
Thanks fellas.

just to clarify, im not sure what the "silencer" im referencing is actually called. it may be called a resonator. but what im refereing to is that "buldge" in the tailpipe before the muffler...i can see mine looking in the passenger side wheel well.
i briefly put one on my trail rig (in addition to the muffler) only to discover it sounded like crap so i had it removed. im not sure, but id guess those things are pretty much standard on new vehicles.

Yup...I know what you are talking about now. Mine was actually after the muffler and yes it was removed along with the muffler. I actually have a pic of the stock muffler and rear piping that was removed and you can see this "bulge". Problem is, I took this pic with my cell and cant upload it to my work computer. All in all, I am very happy with the set up. The sound is beautiful and its the way a truck should sound imo. For now, I will finish up the billet grill install (upper and lower) Saturday and I am already saving for a delux drop...but I cant decide on whether or not to go with a nos kit or the drop. I realize nos would pretty much void any and all warranty so that might have to wait. I beleive Zex has a kit that injects directly into the top/front of the air filter. This might be something that can be removed easily. Basically, I'd like to get it to 300 maybe 320HP. Thanks again.
