Default RE: would it be worth it?

I am going to be powering my sub with a seperate amp.

I would like to use the infinity amp to just give a little juise the 6x9 and the rear door speakers Im going to be putting in. If it is a decent improvment over not having it than I wil do it.

The stock amps can be had for pretty cheap.

NOW

Is the wiring there for the amp already or not?
will a amp from an 03 ram be the same as one for a 04, 05 ect?

That one I couldn't tell you for sure. My 05' was not setup fpr the amp which is why I tapped into the rear wiring to make it work. The best answer I can give you for that would be to either contact the dealer and ask or take the head unit off and see if it has the amp outputs/jacks..... Also After I replaced my 6x9s in the door with a much higher quality infinity 6x9s it made it sound alot nicer and alot crisper. I do not have mine hooked up to an amp and they still sound great and I can hear them over my 2 12's in back. So my advise would be to hold off untill you get your sub working and that amp setup and see how it sounds if you haven't already and then play with the adjustments on the stock radio untill it sounds good to you (if it does). Just remeber if you are using the stock 6x9's that they are not that great and are basically the bottom or close to the bottom of the line as far as speakers are concerned and up grading them will produce a far better sound and quality.

yeah I had planned on replacing the door speakers with 6x9 JBLs in the front and Infinities in the rear doors.
Then hooking up the amp for the 12" sub.

Then I'll see where Im at. The stock speakers cant handle anything higher than a volume setting of 17 with the bass turned down.

the harness for the amp will not be in the factory stereo. I got one and all it does is wire up to the speaker wires and has a low out put for the rca cables. it is very simple to wire in. theres no cutting involved. just need to splice into the speaker wires. but you will probably need one that has four speaker out put or something because mine just run off of back speaker for my sub. my sub wont work if i have the speakers to the front.
