i have a 03' ram 1500 2WD laramie and need help getting the right size leveling kit for it. should i get a 1", 1.5", or 2"? does anyone know which leveling kit i should get? thanks

 

I would say get the 2", the 1" really is not much. With the 2" it will look more level. What kit are you looking at getting? A coil spacer or new coils?

 

i was thinking about getting the coil spacers. got any suggestions on which ones work best?

 

Does the 2WD have front coils? I have an 03 4WD and had to adjust the torsion bars

 

im not sure...everywhere ive looked they sell the coil spacers for the 2wd models

 

i went 2" in the front, and i'm still about a 1/4" lower in the front than the back! But thats on an 06.

 

The 2wd have coils, the 4wd have torsion bars. I have heard good things about daystar, I have a 2.5" Coil spacer sitting in the garage right now just waiting to be put in. Shop around you should be able to get a set for under $100, I got mine for $70 I think from 4wheelparts.

 

are they pretty simple to install?

 

That I am not sure, I have read alot of diffrent things about install. From that I understand you will need a coil compressor and some special took to take the ball joints off. Oh and the shock has to come out. I am trying to see if it is possible to compress the coil enough to just put the spacer on top with out taking anything else off but I don't think ill be that lucky. From what I have read it only takes about an hour to 2 hours when you know what you are doing and if you have the right tools.
