IMHO,
SC tuner: $400
Cat back: $300
CAI: $150
I would say my numbers are probably pretty close if not pretty conservative. That's $850 at a minumum for fuel efficiency upgrades that will probably net you no more than 2 MPG. You will probably never see any savings over the life of your truck so if these upgrades are for efficiency purposes only then it is just not worth it.

Based on 1200 Miles / Month which is about what I drive.
11 MPG = 109.1 gallons of gas or $327.27
12 MPG = 100.0 gallons of gas or $300
13 MPG = 92.3 gallons of gas or $276.92
14 MPG = 85.7 gallons of gas or $257.14
15 MPG = 80.0 gallons of gas or $240.00
You say I would go up 2MPG, that's from $300 / month to $257.14 or $42.86 / month or $514.32 / year. (Yes, that's right, I'm at 12 right now). Part of my problem is that I only drive in city, I don't drive very far to work (lots of starting of the engine vs miles traveled) so my avg is down. It would take me about 20 months worth of driving to pay back the mods. (Yes, I realize this is on paper, not in RL)
There is a guy at an auto shop I talked to whom I've been told is the 'expert' by more than one other mechanic (he teaches auto mechanics at one of the colleges here in town). He claims with his 05 2500 5.7L he said he was only getting 8-9 MPG and after a new K&N filter (not CIA) changing everything to synthetic, and added a Tonneau Cover gave him an extra 4MPG.
Ah well, I guess everyone's got a "friend of a friend who's a mechanic and the.....", right?
