This is my first post as i just bought my first dodge truck, an 06 1500 quad cab 4x4 HEMI... ive got about 2k miles on the truck now and i was driving to work yesterday and the ABS and BRAKE lights came on in the instrument cluster, not sure why, just heard a chime, and on they came. They stayed on until i got to work and about 5 miles after work on my way home, now theyre off. any ideas why this happened? any input would be great. thanks

 

Its under warranty, definately take it back to the dealer and have it looked over.

 

i know its under warranty.. and i plan on taking it in mon. im just trying to figure out what it might be beforehand

 

happened with my dads truck but after he had had it for a while tho. next time it comes on see if you hit a bump just before it happened. me and my dad finally figured out that it happened everytime we hit a bump. as the problem went on longer and longer it took less and less of a bump to set it off. dealer looked at it and said that a wire was loose so it made the computer think that the brakes werent working and send a signal to make the chime and light come on but the brakes would work fine the whole time. they fixed it and weve never had anymore problems. hope this helps.
