What Dodgeforum.com taught me...
I finally got around to debadging my truck today. Took me about 4.5 hours and a LOT of elbow grease. If anyone else was considering this, I took pics as I went. Maybe this will help the next guy. Or at least give ya an idea of what it looks like.
This is the fishing line as I was "sawing" the badge off. They came off really easy. I opted for Spiderwire Stealth rated at 65#.

I found that a thin credit-type card made it much easier to remove the foam part of the adhesive.

After all the black foam was off, I washed the area again with a mild dish detergent.

And this is what it looked like after I got a few of the letters off:

I soaked the area with Goo Gone for a few minutes before scrubbing, being careful not to over do it. I found out just how bad paint can fade with too much pressure on a different area. The credit card helped to remove some of the gum.

Washed the area again to get the Goo Gone off the surface

And the finished product!

Good job man looks awsome, But 4.5 hours??? WOW
I did mine believe it of not in 1.5 hours
I found a easy way to do it
Use a blow dryer to heat the emblems up then they just pull off
I dont like the idea of wire under the emblems to get them off

AAAAAAAAAA thats Not WINDEX in that spray bottle is it!?
4.5 hours?
I debadged washed and waxed my whole truck in less than 2 hours.
ANd I didn't sit in a char, I sat on the ground maybe that made me work faster.

Hmm... maybe I should have tried a few other ways. Either way, it got me out of the house for a bit. And don't worry, the windex was for the windows. But if there is a next time, I'll try the blow dryer and the ice cubes. See which works better.
HAHA! Thanks onlyone, but semo's right. I've used them before, however, the supplies I had were all that I had, and money's tight. Like I said, got me out of the house for a while and I was doing one of my all time favorite things: tinkering.[8D]
