Lockers and new Pois units are pricey plus set up cost at least a grand each end if you want to re gear it add anouthe $200.00 each end,

Lockers are not good for every day street drivng you better off with a strong posi unit lock bang when they engage, it metal agains metal as you ca imagine after a while some thing going to fail theirs not give and on drit it not so hard on the diff but on the street after time ether the locker going to breack ,axles carrior what ever breack first it wont be cheep fix,.

If you want you.r old pois unit to work again just replace the clucth pack in the diff, you can do this you'r self with out removing the carrior unit so you dont have to set up you back lash worry about pattens ect alot less money out of you'r pocket.

When you do put the oil back in use some good oil dont cut conners walking home no fun as for posi addtive put 1 ounce at time in drive the truck in a tight circle you will hear the rear end chatter if so add anouther ounce of posi addtive at a time untill the chatter go's away.

If you put to much poisi addtive is not like having a pois at all Dodge will give you there amount that shoud be put in the rear end but if you want a better hook up as in posi kicking in add a little at a time.

You can also see if they make a heavy duty springs for the posi unit as long as you are going to replaced the posi clucth pack.

Posi driff slids are sure fun to do good luck.
