What's the importance of changing the front and rear differential fluid, also the Transfer case fluid?
I have a 2002 QC 1500 V-8 Automatic, and was wondering if i should have mine changed? I have approximately 61k miles on my truck.
How many miles do you have on yours?

Ouch! If you're following the Severe Service schedule, front and rear diff fluid should be changed every 15k mi. The AT trans should be changed every 60k mi (I change mine every 30k mi). If you do the change, remember the rear requires syn 75W-140 in the 1500s with limited slip additive. The front can tolerate dino 75W-90, but syn is better. The AT trans and transfer case need ATF+4.
