05 1500 RAM Biggest tires

Hey i have read that i can fit a 35" tire under my stock ram with just the torsion bars cranked up is thier any truth in this???? i was wanting to go with a BFG A/T 315/70/17 the rims im wanting are 17x9 Helo Maxx 6. Do u guys think that they will fit or will i have 2 go with a 305/70/17.
