whats going on folks? i just brought my 03 1500 4.7L back to the dealership. i noticed a minor leak right around the water pump. i now have 49K on the truck. this should still be covered under the 70K drivetrain warranty correct?

i totally forgot to get the manual since my truck i left at the dealership this morning. any feedback would be much appreciated. thanks.

 

Should be. Leak in my radiator on my old Jeep was covered under the 70k warranty and it had 72k! (Best friend's dad is the Shop Manager at the local Dodge Dealership, might have had something to do with it)

Depends what type of warranty you have. Some 7-70 warranties only cover actual internal engine parts, others cover everything bolted on too.

 

ya i just got it back from the dealership. they replaced the leaking water pump for no charge. happy with that deal hehe. take care folks.

 

Last time I checked, the water pump is an INTERNAL part.

If I was able to document following the service schedule, and my water pump went before 150,000 miles, you better believe that I'd be on MOPAR's ***.
