Default Electric fan

I was wondering where the best place was to get a kit to replace the belt driven fan with an electric fan. I know that the belt driven fan creates alot of drag on the engine.

I bought a Flex-a-lite 180 and it covers most of the radiator. Installed mine back in July, during the peak temp months and it worked great. I didn't have any over heating issues, except when the fuse blew once and had to change it out. Turns out the first batch of fans came with smaller fuses, so Flex-a-lite sent me their upgrade. Check out this article, it where I got my info before I did my install...

Hemi Truck Club Flex-a-lite install

Hope this helps, I can feel a definite change in throttle response, and I am getting 1-2 mpg better on the highway. The first tank gas on my 26gallon tank went 470 miles after the fan was installed.

it took me about 3-4 hours, because I was doing some other stuff, and also wanted to trim the factory fan shroud as much as I could. Eventually when I get the time, I will remove the factory shroud, and use some kind of brace to hold up the coolant and washer fluid bottles.

I bought the fan as a package from Summit for $269. It came with the adjustable temperature module and was easy to hook up. The fan pushes more CFM's than anything in comparable size. It pushes 3300 cfm's, and includes a shroud. The directions said you could wire it up in 3 ways. The most common way was to wire it up to an ignition wire, so it would only come on when your key is turned on. Another way was to wire a switch to it. I chose the last way, since I didn't want to hack into any of my factory wiring. The way I did it was to wire it to the battery. This means it will run anytime the temp probe sees a temp over the set point. It only runs for a few minutes after you shut the engine off. It is also normal for the fan to cycle on and off the way I wired it up, because the radiator tends to "soak" after it cools down, causing the probe to heat back up. I had it for the 2 hottest months here in Michigan, and it ran like a champ.
