I was doing my usual under the hood stuff and found that one of my fan blades was broken and then noticed some wiring had been ripped out. I found out that the wires were on the inside of the fan, Im not sure what the wires do as the fan still works and truck does not over heat. Anyone know what Im talking about?

 

If you have a Hemi, then there are no wires on the factory mechanical fan. I know this, because I removed mine (from my 2005) for my electric fan. Or are you talking about your electric condensor fan on the driver side?

 

I have a Cummins and the wires are on the front of the fan before the rad. The wires spin sperate from the fan my guess is a something caused the wires to spin with the fan and cut them. Has this happened to any other Cummins owners and what do the wires do.

 

2 options for you ...you can download the service manual and look it up or perhaps query the people under the "cummings diesel" section of the forum.
