Anybody deal with this before???
Okay, so the Truck I'm getting is 6-8 hours away. The salesman manager and I made a deal on a 02' SLT Ram. But they are demanding me to buy the Truck right now. For me to get the price at what we both had agreed on, I am to wire them over the money.
Anyways I was wandering what would you guys do in this case. First, you haven't see the Truck, and haven't test driven it yet. However they did mention that if I don't want it when I get there, and if it isn’t something I expected it to be, they will gladly return my full funds.
So any tips, guide, or experience please chime in.
Thanks

STUPID move to give them full money without a test drive. Just my thoughts; no matter how bad you want the truck. Whats the difference if they are willing to refund you the money, they should be able to move it from one dealership to the next.
I wouldnt do that; from the info you provided above

Sounds like typical car salesman crap. If they wont hold it for you to test drive, walk away, no RUN away.

Definitely sounds like high pressure sales. I wouldn't be surprised if you had a heck of a fight to get your money back if you didn't buy. I went one place that needed my keys for a test drive and basically wouldn't give them back. They tried all kinds of things until I had enough of it and went off on them. Anyway, offer them an amount to hold it for a reasonable time and that's it. When I bought my Ram, the dealership needed like $50 to hold it for a few days.
Wow... Yeah I figure. It's just that it's been extremely hard to find the "Right" one for me. I've been searching for a good month or so. And this one seems to be the best that fits my taste. I'm extremely picky when come to finding a vehicle. I want the specific color, tranny, motor, and etc...
Well I don't really want to loose $2,000.00 on the deal if I don't pay them now. I guess I would call them up tomorrow and tell them to put it on paper saying that if I don't like the Truck, they will refund my money...
Now what do you guys think?
Thanks

I'll bet that someone else is looking at that truck and are going to buy it if you don't hurry. ever hear that one?

tell them they can keep the truck if they can't wait on you. you are in the power position on this. car salesmen typically work on commission.....so ofcourse he is pushing the sale. tell him to wait or fokk off.
