motorider228, I know the feeling with that "recall". I just purchased a 06' 1500 QC Sport (9-16-06) and its just sitting on the lot waiting for the "airbag replacement". I am getting tired of waiting (this is my 1st DODGE, I was always a FORD F-150 man). Best of luck with your's...Eddie

 

yeah I bought mine on saturday 9/16 as well. I finally get to pick it up today after my classes are over and i'm so stoked. I guess each dodge stoor only gets a certain amount of sensors in every week and they get a fixed number based on how many trucks they sell on average. I bought my truck at the highest selling dodge store in the nation (yes towbin dodge, the one with the goofy show) so they get alot more sensors in than most other stores. hound your salesman about putting you first in line for the sensor like I did. I called every day bugging him since saturday and they got them last night so my persistance helped I think.

 

I try to run 89, sometime i get 87 but the trucks seems to knock sometimes now when i get it. Since gas prices are droping (whooHOO!!!) i am going to 93 for a while and put some fuel injector cleaner in it.

 

(89 Octane) 10.9 MPG City ! As soon as I get some open road I got it right up to 18.5 MPG... It became a game to get it as high as possible. This is with 89 at the pump.

Manual Calls for 89 for HEMI and 87 for other engines. (3.7, 4.7)

 

I run 89 in mine and get about 320 in the city if I run 87 I get 50 to 60 miles less plus it just runs better.

 

I run mine on 89 with 10% ethanol, that's the midgrade around where I live. Truck runs fine with no problems whatsoever. I think in manual it mentions that prolonged use with the 91 octane may cause some problems later on. I would go with 89.
