Default drive line shudder

I have an '04 Ram 2500 Quad short bed with the 5.7, question: Does anybody have a slight shudder when starting from a stand still with normal acceleration? Mine does and it seems like the torque converter is slipping. It only happens for a second or two when starting off and then it goes away.

Also, I have noticed a vibration between 70-74 mph. Can't tell if it's a rear tire or driveshaft, I don't think it's a front tire as I can't feel it in the steering.

Thanks in advance for any help or opinions, my warranty is almost up and I'd like to get this taken care of.

My first guess would be a u-joint, I would get under your truck and see how much play is in the u-joints and then go from there. Other wise it would be worth taking it in to have it looked at.

if you have a two piece drive shaft the center carrier bearing could be shot as well.

Ive seen many cases of this exact thing and it generaly boils down to the u-joints or the center carrier bearing being shot.

with the vibration at 70+ that has genraly been a drive shaft out of ballance, front or rear, a good drive line shop can ballance them better than what the dealer can.

I have the same "shudder" in my 03 QC. I thought it felt more like the read Diff. or the limited slip locking up for a second or two. Only happens when I take off from a stop or parked position.
