ORIGINAL: tarponhead

They STILL don't have any confirmation from Dodge on the status of the replacement recall parts or a definitive date of shipping(????). I ranted and raved that this answer was not acceptable (to no avail). ........or borrow one from another dealer just to get the truck out-the-door.........
Do you really think yelling at the staff at the dealership is going to make the parts manufacturere produce the part any faster, or make the delivery truck drive faster??
As far as getting one from another dealer, everydealer is in the same boat right now - so no dealer is going to give one up to another dealer.

You just need to relax, and act like an adult.

Dodgedlr (Dodge Dealer), Thanks for the advise! What really suprises me is your above response. You,(well at least your title//name reflects it, probably the bathroom cleaner) being a dealer should be sympathetic to your "Customer's".
I'm glad (and sure HOPE my Stealership does not have your attitude) I did not do business with YOU!
Why don't you post your Dealership name and adress so my colleagues on this Forum and stay away and do business with a more professional establishment.

As of today, Friday, 9-29(14 days after purchase of $40,000).... Still NO Truck! Dodge still has not released/repaired the recall.

there is no need to start bashing people. all he did was try to help. just be patient. it is ILLEGAL for them to release it until this has been fixed. it might take a while but dont think they are just sitting around drinking coffee while the parts you need sit on the shelf. dealers would love to get all these trucks that have been sold and are just sitting around taking up space off their lots but there is a shortage on parts right now and what makes you think that you want your truck any more than anyone else who bought one and has to wait? Dodgedlr is a respected and very helpful forum member and is always glad to answer questions even if he has to go out of his way to find out what the answer may be. if he wasnt here then many of the questions asked would go unanswered. If his dealer was anywhere near me i would be driving out of my way to go there anytime i had service work to be done or when it was time to buy a new truck. instead of waiting like a mature adult youre whining and your unreasonable behavior makes you sound like that spoiled girl from ***** wonka who sang "i want it now!"

Who you need to be pissed at is chrysler. The dealer cannot and will not release that truck until its fixed. Chrysler dropped the ball big time on this one. Call chrysler cust service, and let them know how you feel. You ranting and raving at the dealer over something he has no control over will bite you in the rear at a later time. But by your response to dodgedlr you have shown your intellectual level. I'm sure at this point your salesman would be more than happy to let a moron like you go, just to save himself the trouble.

I just replaced one of those today on a sold truck from 8 days ago. The customer was understanding and was glad it was being done before he took delivery of the truck instead of having to come back. Its not the whole airbag, just a cushing to protect some rear facing child seats....who would put a child seat if front of an airbag is beyond me....anyways. I just looked at the inventory to reinforce the dealers aren't messing around, nationwide there are close to 4500 of these cushins on backorder.

Just some food for thought.
