I finally got to race a titan today... I have a 06 QC Hemi Ram and was at a red light when a titan pulled up beside me... When the light turned red he jumped about a fender length ahead of me... but once the Hemi hit its power range at about 4000 or 4500 rpm... I just started pulling on him and when we hit about 70 he was about a truck length behind me.... I do have a Hypertech Power programmer... I bought it right when I got the truck and really never have driven the truck stock... I was expecting the race to be a little more even... I mean all I have heard was how quick the titans are... does a power programmer really make that much of a difference or is the hemi just a faster truck???

 

I think the hemi's are just that tough. BUt when i installed my programmer i noticed only a little difference in power. Mostly noticed shift improvements and 0-60 time was faster cause of the shifting. But your right, i do hear often how there so fast.. Was it a 4 door also?

 

No it wasnt even a four door... Like I said I was suprised... again like i said I thought they were quicker than that... What kinda programmer did you get???

 

I can't for the love of God get those Titan guys to race. They are weird people. I have raced my buddy in his 2003 Chevy SS. I was pulling on him, but what helped was he had those big **** 24inch slow me downs on. But now that I got my sc 3815 and my wing polished up, Im ready for some action, LMFAO. We all know that the Daytona wing adds like 50 horsepower at the rear wheel. Your lucky, Im dying to race a Titan guy or girl.

the titans have 305 hp.........your hemi's got 345 hp(stock)....not sure how much the programmer added, but would be interesting to see what it is and the weight differences are per vehicle, then hp per lb. you single can or quad cab with hemi?

 

I can't get them to race either, i guess they are just mature than us hemi guys haha i do have an 06 SC slt hemi 2wd so i save ALOT of weight over all you QC 4x4 guys so i want to race a titan......

 

I have a QC 2x4 06 Hemi... I dont have a long bed ... the weights believe it or not are not that different between my truck and the titan... or atleast according to the sources I have looke up... If I can beat a one with a QC I am positive you will smoke one with a RC... no problem.... and I also would love to see how much difference the Hypertech Power Programmer made.... Maybe I will get a dyno on both stock and programmed just for the heck of it....

 

there are few titans and chevy ss's at my school so i need to talk to these guys that drive them and perhaps coordinate a time where we can all go to the speedway and run them. it's hard though because of when my classes are i never see any of these people driving their trucks, they are always just in the parking lot. i think i would smoke the titans and it would be pretty close between me and the ss's if i can hook up really well.

 

i hate titans with a passion dude...i always get all kinds of comliments on my truck at work (several a week) and then they almost always say i wish i had a truck....your truck reminds me alot of those titans...i want one of those! I always wince when they say my truck looks like a titan. and then try my hardest to convince them to go with a dodge instead.
