Default Question about K&N

I just have a question about my series 53 K&N Aircharger.

I have a 2006 Ram Hemi with a Flowmaster cat-back with 40 series mufflers. It was reasonably noisy prior to putting this K&N on, however now that I have put the Aircharger on, I get a substantial amount of intake noise under full throttle acceleration. Is this normal? It is WAY louder then before. I've checked for leaks and everything seems to be functioning well.

Not sure what to make of it.

Thanks.

A less restrictive filter equals more noise on excelleration. Its normal.

Don't tell me you don't like that sound though. I'm already excited to hear what mine will sound like tommorow morning when I finally get to install my new CAI.

It sounds great, a dull roar coming through the whole cab when you stab the throttle.
And I do hear the MDS click in, it sounds like a clunk sucking through the intake.
Coupled with the flowmasters, I've noticed substantially better fuel mileage as well.

And then I did the superchip and now I tromp on it all the time and get crappy mileage
again!
