RE: would i want 20inch wheels
Ok, the speedo will NOT be affected as long as you get a tire of EQUAL size. I believe that a stock tire/wheel is 265/70R17. If I'm right, then for a 20" wheel you'll need 265/55R20 tires. Any local tire shop can give you the information you need if you wanna go to a wider tire with a stock height.

And that's true too, I'm just saying that if you don't change the overall diameter of the tire, you won't have to adjust the speedo. Didn't say the ride wouldn't suffer and I'm not trying to be an *******, I'm just clarifying, if you will. Sorry if I upset (pissed off) anyone.

In reply to dirtydodge02 and nathanp you both are correct to an extent. First off alot of your computers today are self correcting/adjusting. That is why once you disconnect your batttery for an extended period of time your engine runs a little rough because the computer is doing a self diagnostic and reseting itself. So what does all this mean. 1. check with the stealership you may be able to go from 17's right to 20's and not need to get your pinion factor adjusted. 2. If you can't all you need to do is have your computer hooked up and they(stealership) will tell your computer what size wheel and tire you are running. Now think of it like this. Do you really think that the powers that be would have separate programs just for tire size? No they wouldnt. Example you can buy a identicle Ram 1500's 4x4 the only difference being one has 20's and the other has 17's. Now they both are running the same computer programing. So you should not have any issues going to 20's. I hope this helps I just wanted to clear the air.

I originally had 17's on my truck and it was a nice ride and very easy to spin the tires from a stop. I got 20" srt-10 wheels and now I bearly get a chirp and now I can feel more bumps in the road but it is not too bad. Overall, I am still happy I went with 20's because I think they look better and though I may not be able to spin the tires at a stop, I do take off like a bat out of hell! (better grip from high performance tires)
