Default Another 20" wheel question

I am switching over from the 17 inch wheels to the OEM 20's. Is the tire height about the same? The 20's of course look taller, but is it enough to really throw the speedo off a lot. If it is 2 or 3 MPH off I may not worry about it. Or is it significant where the computer needs to be recalibrated to correctly read the road speed? Anybody with a simular conversion have any input?

just go to a local dodge lot with a tape measure and measure the tires on the 17's and the 20's

id advise getting the computer redone. The 17" rims come with 245/70R17 tires which are equal to just under a 30" tire, and the 20" rims come with 275/60R20 tires on. So those 2" will make a fairly noticable difference. Just courious to ask why your switching to the 20's im going the other way currently, to 17's from 20's

I am going to the chrome clad 20's for the look. From what I read, the ride may be not quite as nice. I will have the 17's as backup if I don't like it though. Why are you going to the 17's? Is it for the smooter ride or offroad?

well couple of reasons. First off yes i wanna go with a more off-road m/t tire and the price of those for a 20" rim is insane, second off is the ride, i drive lots of gravel roads and through farm fields and they are rough as hell.
