Time for new tires on the Dodge...
I'm in the market for a new set of tires on my truck. It's a 2004 1500 4X4 quad cab. The tires on there currently are Goodyear P265 70 R17's. These are the stock tires. I was thinking of putting the Gooyear Wrangler Silent Armor Tires on there (http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...&ar=70&ct=null)
Has anyone put these on their dodge? Or is there another brand/style of tire I should look into? I"m looking at putting a new set on later this month before the Winter gets here....

I had a pair of LT275/70/17 G-Y Wrangler SilentArmor tires on my truck before I traded it and absolutely loved them. They are a little pricey, but they were quiet for an A/T tire, looked great, and handled well. I didn't have a chance to do any major off roading with them, but they did fine on some of the fire breaks/power lines I had them on.
I run Cooper Discoverer ATR tires size 275/17R17 way better than the goodyears that were on it stock!!! I run cooper on our Fleet vechicles best tires out there I think anyway. We all have our opions. Just look at them at coopertires.com They dont look like much but you wont be disappointed with them VERY good all round tire. hope this helps
Go to www.tirerack.com and see how everyone rates tires. There is a lot of good feedback on there. I don't think Cooper and some of the other names are on there though, so a comparison with those might be difficult.
I love my coopers on the Dakota. They never see the highway here on the ranch and they are holding up awesome. cactus usually tears our tires up really fast but the coops are holding up tough. I will be putting a set on my 04 ram when the ones on it are wore out.

If you're going to be driving in snow, then check out the snow ratings for the various tires at The Tirerack. I believe that the Pirellis and the Bridgestone Dueler Revos are two of the better choices for snow.
