Why can't I get an answer for my question about limited slip if it will work in reverse?????

Yes It will work when you back up UNLESS you dont have a posi in the first place stop you'r woundering and spin those tires.

Read the data plate on the rear end or jack the rear end off the ground put the truck in netrual have someone hold the other tire still and try to spin the free tire they should both try to spin in the same direction.

If the data plate saids you have a posi and it will not spin both tires #1 it could have to much limited slip fluid it it or #2 the clucth pack could be worn or worse some changed it out for a open diff. #3 bring the VIN # to the parts counter at you dealer and have them pull a build sheet on you'r truck it will also tell you what you truck came with gears posi. ect.

Or you could have one wheel in the dirt and one on pavement and stomp on the gas in reverse and find out that way.
It's not rocket science...

Limited slip SHOULD work opposite to forward when it's in reverse. As in, the other wheel will lock up.
However, limited slip works by transferring the power away from the vehicle that has no traction.
