working on my brakes
I'm sure you're done already.... but next time, there's a much easier way to do that. take off the tire, and after that, find the opening in the top of the calliper. you will be able to use a long, sturdy flat head screw driver to wedge in there and pry back, pushing the pistons in. then unbolt the calliper and change your pads. last time i did the brakes on my '03, i think i might have taken 20 minutes total... using a floor jack and impact. good luck, hope you got it done alright!

I haven't done it on my Ram yet, but if the piston has blind holes or slots in it, it needs to be rotated as it is pushed in, using a special tool.
