Transmission Stop Leak Fluids & Fuel Injection Cleaner...???
Does this stuff really works? A friend of mine told me that I should buy one of these bottle at a Auto Store. The fluids are something like Automatic Transmission Stop Leak.??
Anybody think it's okay to put these fluids in my 02' 5.9 Liter Ram?
And what about those Fuel Injection Cleaner bottle? Anybody use them? Recommend?
Thanks.

I would'nt use Stop leak in the transmission. My first thoughts are that it may clog the filter. If its leaking, its more than likley something like the front or rear seal.
I agree.
I woulld never put that in an auto tranny.
Fuel injector cleaner can help if your mileage is up there. But its better to have it done by a shop that can disconnect your fuel system, use a fitting to make the engine run on their cleaner/fuel stuff and that will actually help.

I'm not a big additive person but I have used Lucas brands for the FI Cleaner and Rack and Pinion stop leak. Both worked very well and the R&P Stop Leak blew my mind at how well and fast it worked. Still have no problems 3 months later and I was going through two or three bottles a week in my Honda.
Berryman's Chemtool works well as does Seafoam. Marvel Mystery Oil is a great upper cylinder lubricant. I vouch for these because I use them myself.
EDIT: And how could I forget the PB Blaster for loosening rusted parts.......

Any stop leak product is just a temporary fix for a bigger problem. I would rather fix it right the first time.
As far as the FI cleaner, I use some every oil change or so. I think it is more peace of mind that anything. With today's fuel additives, I can't see a bunch of carbon being deposited on the inside of the motor.
Also, with your tranny, make sure that the bands are adjusted properly. If you do it yourself, notice that the torque settings is in INCH/pounds and NOT FOOT/pounds.
