Default 2007 Ram Sport 1500

I'm a new member, so go gently.

I have been waiting for months and months (June 06) and have checked Dodge's website for them to allow you to start building a new 2007 Ram. Now I have been a Ram owner since 1997 and currently own a 2002 Black Ram Sport 1500 Quad Cab (20" wheels, blah blah blah). Anyway, does anyone know why the hell they are not offering the sport in a quad cab??????? I due for a new truck, now Im stuck. Thanks!

According to their website, when you choose the two options, it says there is an error. I could only choose the Quad cab in the SLT, ST, or Laramie. I've checked about 50x now, maybe it's just a glitch in their system?

That must be an American only thing. I just built one on www.dodge.ca and it allowed
me to build the same truck in a 2007 model that I just purchased as a 2006.

Here's the kicker, WAY more money.

2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport 4X4
Hemi, automatic, 3.92 gears, 20 inch wheels, a/c, premium cloth bench, Infiniti 6-disc,
premium equipment group, anti-spin diff., elec. transfer case, rear window defroster,
light group, fold-away storage floor.

I paid 37,985.

2007 prices out at 45,605, same options.

But it does allow for the Sport package. Maybe call a Dodge dealer and ask about the '07s?

I show the Sport available in 07 on shortbox models. It is the 26L or "L" package as some call it. It is Hemi only--no 4.7 available. It may have been a website glitch before, but its on their now.

I'll give it a try. If the 07's are that much more expensive, maybe I will opt for a 2006 leftover. There is a NightRunner on the lot near me that is really nice looking. I'm not 100% sold on the dark rims, but everything else is nice. I really like the center console, but wish it had leather. Anyone have an opinion on the NightRunner?? If I do get it, I want the decals removed from the rear quarters. I'm not a sticker fan.

Also, as of 0752am on 10/8 Dodge.com still won't allow me to choose a 2007 Quad Sport. WTF!

Really weird. In Canada, the Sport is available as a shortbox model only and the Sport package
forces you to have a Hemi, premium cloth seats, automatic, 3.92 gears and 20" inch wheels.

Yeah, still no go on Dodge.Com I did try Dodge.Ca and was able to build a 07" Quad Sport. Maybe just a glitch.

In response to electrofuzz,

Your paid price is most likely employee pricing, your actual price is somewhere closer to $45 G's I have an '06 and paid about $38 with employee pricing, wait until next summer and the price will be down.
