I took some stuff to the dump today and the #s dont seem right.

First of all I have a 2004 Quad Cab 4X4 SLT Hemi short bed, with a sliding rear window (if it matters). I weigh 195 lbs. and the truck had a full tank of gas (filled up 2.5 miles before).

I pulled in at 6000 lbs Even! Emptied it and pulled out at 5600 lbs. I dont believe it is statisticly possible to have 3 even weights.
6000 in
400 lbs of crap
5600 on the way out.

Has anyone else had their truck weighed? Does this seem right?

Honestly, the dumps will round their numbers just to make it easier, or make more money [8D]

 

My 03 ram was around 5400 lb

 

My 04 QC 4x2 is 5260 lbs with me in it.

 

My 04, QC, 4X4 truck weighs in at 5860 with 1/4 tank and a 240# driver.

 

i have an 03' 1500 SLT 4x4 with the hemi and my manual says the truck weighs 6400lbs??? Idk if im just reading the numbers for like the 3500 or something because that seems realllly heavy.

 

You are probably looking at gross vehicular weight, meaning the total maximum weight of truck, people and gear.

 

I had a full tank of fuel too. So I should have weighed closer to 5900 then.
