Default First Oil Change!

OK, did my first oil change, fairly simple. I read on here it could be difficult and/or messy. I agree it got messy because I didn't have a filter wrench to get it off so I had to do the old fashioned screwdriver through the filter to remove but aside from that I found this to be pretty easy. With the proper filter wrench I should have been able to change this in all of 15 minutes max.

Castrol Syntec was the only synthetic oil I could find in 5-20....

Now I doubt it has anything to do with the oil and maybe the engine is finally broken in but I took it down the street and thought I'd see how much I could spin the tires. IN D2 I was able to smoke the tires about half a block before I let off.....I was actually quite surprised because a few other attmpts before I could just get a little chirping action but wasn't trying TOO hard.

ive never had to use a filter wrench on mine, so never had to puncture a hole in the filter either. Never been messy changing mine or a pain.

I was in D2, not sure how much of a difference that makes but it wouldn't do it in D.

Yeah, guess an oil filter wrench would be a good investment, wish it were like my Saturn, its a cartridge you remove from the front of the engine thats so simple takes less then five minutes.

i run mobil 1 in mine, walmart doesnt carry **** for oil where i live. I go to like Part Source (aoutpro or whatever in the states) or canadian tire. First few oil changes i got the oil straight fromt he dealership though, its almost the same price to, jusat have to take your own jugs in and buy it in bulk.
