Default 3.93 VS 4.10s

i have an 03 qc 1500 w/ the HEMI and 3.93 gears and antispin diff. If i swapped out for the 4.10s would it be worth it? I know every one else seems to be tossin the 3.55 gears out. just dont want to waste my money and time if i wouldnt notice an improvment in acceleration

The change is so small you will hardley notice anything. 3.93's to 4.56's only make a 300 rpm difference at highway speeds.

I agree, not a big enough change to make a difference. Are you sure you have 3.93s? I know in 05 the optional ratio was 3.92.

I have 3:73's in my Jeep and had 3:92's in the truck. I'm always getting the numbers from those two mixed up. Once I go 4:56's in the Jeep then I won't have anything to worry about - unless I decide on 5:13's then I'll be screwed again.[&:]

I'm also planning a gear change from 3.55 to 4.11, does any one know how to get the speedo back in check.

If it is a 3rd gen ram you dont have to do anything with the speedo. the speed is taken off the ring gear and it resets itsself. I didnt have to do anything with mine and I did the same swap you are thinking about. 3.55-4.10

Sweet, how's the fuel mileage and RPM's while cruising. I tow a 8500 lbs trailer that has my Superbee in it and I'd like to get a little more tow power. I don't want to kill the road trips when empty. Oh, it is a 3rd gen... 2005 1500 quad long bed 2wd hemi
