Cold Air Intake?
I have a el' cheapo ebay intake and it works just as good as any of the high dollar K&N models. anything over $100 seems to be a waste of money to me. Except AIRRAM's intakes because of the insulation that goes into making them.
My 2 cents. Can go with an Airaid Tube (300-924-1) for about $100.00 and a True Flow drop in for about $45.00.

Went With the Cheap one Myself. Looked hard at the contruction and size and figured the only real diference was the filter itself. SO go and buy a K&N filter and save the extra for some other place in your Truck!!!!!!!
I bought the Ebay one w/ K&N filter. It is by Chrome-Intakes and has made a significant difference on my 2003 Ram QC/ 5.7. I also installed a new Gibson "SuperTruck"exhaust on her about two weeks ago and the addition of the Full Cold Air Intake gave me about 32 extra horses. $385 altogether. I am toying around with the idea of extending the already 3 foot intake tube another 2 feet downward and aimed out my unused fog lamp terminal to hopefully create a tunnel ram-esque type concoction. I am assuming that the more I accelerate the more air will directed/ funneled into the strategically placed tubing, and hopefully cram some fresh air down the beast's throat. I will report back to you on this. I guess you could pay an extra $250 on some name brand intakes but, the one I have looks and works like any other, and is K&N filter compatible. Add another $50 to the 250 you'll be saving and get yourself a "Suoertruck" type exhaust. Just my opinion and suggestion... Hope it helps..

I have the K&N system,it looks and works great, all hardware was included,a new filter housing with sealing foam, filter, tube, and all the hoses you need to install. It took me about an hour to do,was a snap.If you want the K&N its an awesome system. It all comes down to your pocket book.I looked at the other systems, and found the K&N to be the best I looked at,Does that make it work better?,who knows, but the K&N quality was important to me so I spent the extra dough!
