Default Cell Phone Interference

My 05 Ram and many other Dodge vehicles I have driven in has an annoying problem. When using a cell phone, the signal causes interference over the radio. A constant clicking sound can be heard. If you turn the radio off, the sound will go away. Has anyone else experienced this and hopefully, is there a cure?

If it is the sound I'm thinking of, then it is an interferance that happens with all speakers when your phone receives a signal. My wife's phone will some time make a sound over the baby monitor if it is right by it. I have never heard of any fix for this.

My other vehicles do not have this problem. Seems like a Chrysler only problem!

Are you using a Nextel? My Nextel was very bad about this but it would actually come over anything with speakers.

Sounds like the noise I used to get when I had Nextel. It used to happen in all my vehicles. Now I have Cingular and have not heard that clicking sound at all. Although, it was kinda cool; as it acted like a "pre-ringer" so I knew when my phone was going to ring.

I dont know if you guys know this but nextels are notorius for gettin the "pre-ring" that comes through the speakers right before they ring, it happens all the time, the older the speakers the more pronounced the clicking is. Its kinda cool, i love my nextel[:'(], and my big red truck!
