I was thinking does a CAI kit really help much more than stock? I have the stock airbox with a K&N panel filter, but i was thinking of getting the air raid modular tube part # 300-924-1 which is $99. It eliminates the intake resinator which of coarse means more airflow. So is it worth buying a $300 CAI, does a cone filter in a box really make that much of a difference? Our stock air filter box is enclosed from sucking hot air from under the hood and sucks in cool air from the wheel well. I think this would be just as good. Just a thought. Anyone have a dyno and some extra money?

My CAI helped my performance out alot. I have the Air Raid on my truck. If u get a real CAI ur engine gets so much more air. Air raids set up doesnt suck from under the hood. I sucks from the fender also

you cannot go wrong with a CAI setup (unless your wheeling thru rivers)... if you upgrade your motor with other go-fast goodies, you can always upgrade your CAI filter to match your motors needs. I did this on my 2000 5.9 motor and it was awesome (went to a 6x9 round k&n filter in place of the stock cone filter).
