HIDDEN KIT FOR DODGE 1500 PICKUP
With the introduction of the newest WARN Hidden Kit, Dodge owners now have one more option for appearance and function. The kit for the Ram 1500 mounts the winch completely behind the existing factory bumper, and will accomodate any WARN low-profile winch up to the 9.5xp. Access to controls is cleanly hidden behind the front grille.

The frame rails are a hair under 34.75 inches apart, however, the winch brackets are 34.125 inches apart since there are bumper mounting flanges between the rails and the winch brackets.
Maybe they say no winch for the 1500's because the winch and mounting bracketry is going to weigh somewhere in the neighborhood of 150lbs. and the front springs are going to need to be replaced.
