This is the ebay CAI I'm planning on getting, I believe a few others on this forum have used the same one. The one linked before connected to the plenum, which would still restrict airflow. This one goes directly to the throttle body.

A CAI that really works
will result in the IAT sensor reading a lower intake air temperature
and the MAP sensor read a higher air pressure
at full throttle.

You can borrow a Diagnostic Scanner from Autozone to read these two sensors
for 'free' if you leave a deposit and then return the scanner un-harmed.

You can accomplish the same thing in a test
by reading the milliamps of current flowing through
the IAT and MAP
with a $10 multimeter
if you can't borrow a scanner.

Considering how much even the cheap CAI's cost
doesn't it make sense to test them
and send the ones back that don't work?

There is as much fraud
and lying for money
in the CAI business
as there is
in the email spam you get
and the motive is the same,
100-300% profit margins.
