Default Best CAI

I was wondering about the different brands of CAI and if anyone had any suggestions ive been looking into it and i know with K&N 77 series they say 8.34hp increase and if i wanted to go with the Fuel Injection Performance Kit it bumps it up 10.49 horses but other brands like AEM says 5-12% hp gain Volant says up to 18hp gain. I was hoping i could get some pointers.

well from my experience of havin a K&N CAI, AEM and Volant...personally my favortie as been the AEM. granted i believe it's the most expensive out of the 3 but it seems like it adds the most hp and fuel economy, but just my $.02 worth

My CAI is Air Raid. I love it and it is so easy to install. I never had any other CAI system so i have nothing to compare it to

Chrome Intake from ebay is still the best bang for the buck! Under $100 leaves money left over for other stuff.

I like mine from Volant because i can buy a tube that goes from the air filter out to through the fog light and get cold air from the outside. No others provide that.

Do you know where I can get some information on how to do this? I have a Volant CAI too. Thanks!

i had the volant system, i will admit it was crazy easy to install and looked very clean almost stock but as far as proformance I have to give it to the Mopar CAI(wich from what i hear dodge contracted AEM to design this intake). I swapped out the volant for the mopar and extremley happy i did, better throttle response, gave my exhaust a nice tone, and the awsome throaty intake sound. The installation is a little more involved than the volant but well worth it.

...i went with the $80.00 (to my door) ebay intake with heat sheild (i'll post pics later) ... this mod really woke up my other mods as my truck screams now and performance is improved quita a bit...I thought this is how it feels if I were to install headers but I haven't done that yet....I can only imagine...
