Norfolk,VA area..any good 4x4 trails?

Default Norfolk,VA area..any good 4x4 trails?

Anybody know of any where to get off road near the Norfolk, VA area? (legally)
I'm headed down there soon. Not too much offraod ability here in LI, NY.

Last time we went down, we went on the beach in Corolla, NC. Pretty cool. Wild horses
right on the beach. No pass required. This time looking for somewhere in the woods, maybe
even a little mud.

Offroading is popular here, start with http://www.pungooffroad.net , those guys are about the hardest core of all the groups. I understand that there's lots of mud in southern Chesapeake and Suffolk. You'll be able to waller all you want.

Yea Pungo Offroad should be able to point you somewhere to wheel. Rob the owner owns some land in blackwater that he was making some places to ride. I dont know if that has happened. Speaking of Corolla if you want to drive on the beach that is always an option the outer banks of NC is nice since you can drive on the beach alot of places if sand is your thing.

Chesapeake and Suffolk is where it is at. I usually go through fields who I know the owner is. Pungo guys are hardcore and your ride has to be setup high enough for some deep stuff....

that's cool. I wish I knew someone that would let me explore some of their offroad. My truck is pretty stock so far,
except for slightly bigger tires. I've been on the beach a few times. Truck does very well in the sand, but I don't
know about deep mud. I'd like to play a little, get it dirty.
