Stock Nav head unit

Stock Nav head unit
Ok im new to this site, so this may of came up already. I have a 04 1500 with a stock Nav head unit. I had dodge put in the sirius SAT radio for me.. On most other units you can see the names of the songs, and stuff... But on my head unit you just see the name of the channel.. So is this just how the Nav head unit work?
