Default Brake Question

About how long do the brake pads usually last on our Rams before they need to be replaced? Its a Reg. Cab 1500, stock 20" rims, stock height (not lifted or lowered), no heavy braking.

It depends on so many factors it is hard to nail down a specific mileage. When I traded my truck it had 23K miles on it with plenty of pad left on the front and rear. I'd expected mine to last around 50K miles, easily. My wife and neice also say I "drive like a grandpa"

What Doc says above is true,
I have almost 33K on my truck, and still plenty of pad left. Most of my travel is highway these days. The best thing you can do is simply keep an eye on them. I like to go around mine and check the pads when I do routine maintnance, oil changes and such.

My 02 has ~49,200 miles and just had to do a brake job. I do just a little heavy braking. We pull a big pop-up camper with 2 dirt bikes in the bed. The rotors were warped pretty back but they still had enough thickness to turn it out of them.
