anyone find an easy set up for an underhood light? My 03 ram does not have one and I am not sure if dodge offers one. It suck when you want to check under the hood at night and you can't find a flashlight. I don't think installing it should be a problem, the problem is I have yet to find a kit. Has anybody installed one yet?

 

Hmm, my 04 has one. Maybe you can order it from Dodge??

My 03 has one, it was the first bulb I replaced...it looks like you should be able to order the parts, they have to have factory replacements...or hit up the junkyards.

 

I'm not sure if this will work, but here is a couple of links for part for a light. It says it is the same as from teh dealer except it says for 2004-2007. So I'm not sure if it will work.

One is the lamp and the other is a harness.

 

Some of the Dodges had it and some didn't. The under the hood lamp is part of the "Light Group" in the options package, so that's why some of you have it and some of you don't. I think you can order and use the factory one, but I'm not sure about exactly what all you have to get to make it work. If you call a good parts guy, he should be able to help you out. I use this guy: Ken (406) 676-3852. He's in Montana, but he will ship stuff anywhere, and he's pretty good with this kind of stuff.
